Neurographic Drawing Kits
I joined the Drawing-A-Day challenge for the month of February in the year 2022. A lot was going on in the world and I needed something to preoccupy my mind, to stay connected to my own community, and to generate positive energy for the greater good of all. That is where I found the Neurographic Drawing technique to help me with the daily discipline.
Taking care of our well-being goes beyond just diet and exercise. Self-care includes tending the garden of mind. Our own mental health can be cultivated to prepare our mind to withstand stress, depression, and anxiety. Mindfulness and intentionality can improve your life and it can transform negative energy into something positive. The best part is that there are no drawing skills needed to benefit from this technique.

In 2014, Russian psychologist, Pavel Piskarev developed Neurographic Drawing. It can be viewed as a type of structured doodling or meditation in motion. The general style visually resembles neuron connections in the brain while the subconscious mind is making new neuronic connections in the brain while you relax and focus on the process of drawing. This therapeutic and healing technique has been proven to alleviate depression, anxiety, and stress of any kind. The power is in a pen.
